Capricho Grill is a South American-inspired chicken restaurant that just opened a new store on Swanston Street – one of its many new locations in Melbourne! With an ambiance of a casual restaurant and menu options that are super packed with South American flavours, ranging from loaded chips, chicken, burgers and even paella, Capricho Grill is both an easy takeaway or a fun group catch up place.
The good fat: The speciality of Capricho Grill lies in – you guessed it – chicken and the flavours did not disappoint, with its rich flavours and multiple options of sauces to personalise for your own taste. The chicken in all the dishes we ordered was super tender and the sauces really had their own unique spins. The simple lime and herb was a great non-spicy option! It really brought out the best of South American flavours. The Original burger gave a balanced and overall great eating experience. Another particular favourite was definitely the bacon loaded chips, with its generous heaping of spring onion, triple cheese and bacon. Just writing about it now makes me hungry! The addition of crispy corn chips in the Capricho superbowl definitely gave a surprising yet welcome crunch to a salad bowl.
The bad fat: The quinoa in the Capricho Super-Bowl was a little bland and the ingredients inside like jalapenos, black beans and avocado didn’t seem to be brought out by the sauce. The tenderloins were also a little on the drier side.
