NOSH, MELBOURNE CBD: I love Poke bowls – the more I eat them, the more I love them. Nosh is a chain Poke restaurant with 5 locations in the Melbourne CBD with classic options of pre-made or “create-your-own” bowls. With quite a few tables and chairs for seating, it has a beautiful, bright interior with a refreshing display of its freshest ingredients just to boost that healthy vibe home!

Sashimi Lovin’-
Fresh tuna sashimi cubes infused in shoyu atop brown rice perfected with charred broccoli, shiitake and roasted miso pumpkin – $13.9 reg/$16.9 lar
The good fat: Their standout is the different variety of salads + additions that other places don’t provide, such as shiitake and miso pumpkin (although the miso is a bit lacking). I love the pale timber aesthetic of the store, which preoccupies a convenient location within Melbourne Central shopping centre. The tamarind sauce was delicious, and the 63 degree egg was stunning! It was so soft and became like another sauce to the bowl as I swirled it in. They also feature nori-tacos i.e. crispy nori used as a taco shell filled with poke ingredients, such as salmon inside, which is such a unique and inventive idea!
The bad fat: The prices here are a little higher than other areas for a relatively small portion size. I found the spicy mayo glaze around the salmon in the taco too predominating in the spicy flavour.
SHOULD YOU GET FAT HERE?
YES – Bright, conveniently-located for a yummy Poke!
