An amazing, hand-made flower board to light up the atmosphere!
THE TEA ROSE, FAIRFIELD: A newly opened, petite bakery in the sunny streets of Fairfield, The Tea Rose features one of the most gorgeous, fun aesthetics I’ve seen in a while. The baked goods here feel like they have come straight from a loving, home oven (which they are) and it is sure to become a popular local bakery in future. Their scones are a must get, and as is the famous sherry cake. With sunlight filtering through the windows, it’s the perfect area for a relaxed, yet classy get-together sipping on tea and having mouthwatering desserts whilst experiencing the most friendly, bubbly customer service!

Perfect ice teas for a sunny day
The good fat: The scones and sherry cake were the standout dishes. I’ve never really tried sherry cake before but this one was just mysteriously delicious! The taste is difficult to pinpoint, but it’s incredibly moist, not too sweet but has the most subtle creaminess and tang of Sherry.
A 15 minute wait for scones meant that they were baked fresh to order and came out simply crumbly and soft with warm pieces that fell apart, and melted the cream that we spread on top. The raspberry jam was stunning – it wasn’t too sweet, but was instead very fresh and fruity.
The bad fat: Although the chocolate cupcake was light and spongy, with a sweet kick from the sugary chocolate ganache, it was quite average, and a tad on the drier side.

SHOULD YOU GET FAT HERE?
YES – If you live in that area, it’s definitely one of the cutest afternoon tea rooms I’ve been to with such a homely, friendly vibe!
