A green smoothie and cappuccino for me!
ONE BY ONE, KEILOR EAST: Definitely a trek out from the city especially when you don’t have a car but One by One is a relatively new cafe out on the North-West side where good brunch places become quite scarce. Having come here as part of a food group collaboration, we were seated outside on a fresh Autumn day. They have a great selection of dishes, with special sweets such as a Nutella Hotcake and Granola Bowl that look quite stunning, but their savoury options such as the Lamb Salad and the Fettucine also don’t disappoint. The smoothies and coffees are also worth trying.
Pressed Lamb Shoulder on Minted Peas w. Cucumber, Cherry Tomato, Tendril Salad and Mint Yoghurt – $20.0

The pressed lamb with all its dukkah glory
The good fat: The pressed lamb was definitely the highlight of the dish – it had been cooked and formed into little pieces all pressed together to form a nice patty that still stripped away extremely tenderly to blend out with everything else in the salad. I loved the smashed, minted peas and the selection of other veggies gave a refreshing combination of juicy and crunchy textures. The mint-y mayo-like sauces were smooth and refreshing, going well with the lamb. Overall, a delicious salad with perfectly cooked lamb!
The bad fat: I had asked for avocado to be added but it didn’t come with my dish. The tendrils were also extremely hard to eat – it was long and not really able to be cut or snapped easily so a different choice of leafs or perhaps smaller portions would work better
