Ganache Chocolate

Don’t you just want to eat this all!

GANACHE CHOCOLATE, MELBOURNE CBD: A busy chocolate cafe opened up in a pretty populated and bustling area near the corner of Collins and Swanston St, Ganache Chocolate was able to provide us with a large quantity of macarons for a special event! Naturally, I had the chance to visit the store to pick up our order and try the quality of the macarons they provided us. They have a lovely section out the front displaying a range of chocolate covered goods, as well as a delicious display cabinet of cakes that I just want to try some day!

Wish our macarons came wrapped like this!

Macarons – $2.9/each

Chocolate macaron ❤

The good fat: It was great to see a classic range of so many macaron flavours, and all of a great size proportion! They weren’t too petite such that it was all lost after one bite, but also not too large that they were still delicate to eat and savour each bite. I really enjoyed the chocolate macaron – it’s my first time trying a chocolate one and this one was so rich, fudgey and chocolate-y it almost tasted like a brownie, except for the little hints of almond you could get from the back. I loved the dark richness of the chocolate and it blended together very smoothly with a light crisp from the outside without being too sweet.

The bad fat: The almond wasn’t very predominant throughout, which was a shame as I always love the nuttiness that comes from good quality macarons. I found the same issue with the pistachio, I couldn’t really get any hints of pistachio taste and it was quite artificial instead of having that delicious, earthy nuttiness.

Fat-o-meter: 3.5/5

Pistachio, Raspberry, Salted Caramel, Lavender, Chocolate and Vanilla!

Um… – Haven’t tried enough things to really judge but I love dessert so I’ll probably try their cakes some day except there are definitely better macarons elsewhere
