DANIEL’S DONUTS, SPRINGVALE: I seem to be on a bit of a donut spree lately but in reality, it’s just that donuts make a perfect sharing sweet treat amongst a group of friends. Daniel’s Donuts is just off Princes highway, and has grown to become an incredibly popular, cheap, 24 hour donut chain, perfect for those late night dessert runs. It would’ve been nice to be able try a variety of flavours but of course not complaining that we were treated to a delicious, classic Jam & Cream!
Box of 6 Donuts – $15
The good fat: The dough base forming the doughnut is quite soft, with a bit of the classic doughnut chewiness. There are also sprinkles of icing sugar. I love the generous heaping of fresh cream over the top, making it not too sweet but soft as a pillow to bite into. The jam on top adds a nice sweet touch without being overpowering. A pretty yummy donut for an affordable price!
The bad fat: Just nothing too out of the ordinary – it was yummy but as it’s just a classic jam and cream I don’t think I can say it got much better than that.
SHOULD YOU GET FAT HERE?
YES – A cheap donut place, with a variety of flavours to try! I’m definitely up for trying some of the crazier combos later if I ever head down that way.
