5 AND DIME BAGELS: A cute little bagel shop near Southern Cross perfect for a cheap, yet filling takeaway brekky. I’m a huge fan of the bagels here as they’re super tasty and not overpriced. The bagels are always very carb-dense and filling whilst the seasoning on top doesn’t disappoint! There’s also a small amount of seating inside for dine in options or a take away offer of 6 bagels for $12.
Salty Garlic Bagel – $2.2
Cinnamon and Raisin Cream Cheese Bagel – $4.5
The good fat: Loved the texture of the bagel, it was pretty chewy but very tasty! The salty garlic on top also meant that you didn’t bite into the bagel and lose the flavour inside. The cinnamon was pretty strong but I enjoyed the sweetness of it that pervaded throughout the carby texture of the bagel. The cream cheese was quite light and not too sweet, but it added soft creamy moisture if anyone finds the bagel too dry or tough.
The bad fat: Pretty simple and nothing much to complain about.
