Wow… one month later and I’ve made 24 posts! (Yes… it’s not February anymore but whatever) So to save all you lazy people from scrolling through, here are my top picks for flavours of this summer in Melbourne. Feel free to eat brunch for breakfast or lunch they both work! (As for dinner, it also works for lunch SO BASICALLY mix and match ma friends)
Brunch: THE GRAIN STORE
Shredded Lamb and Potato Hash (fried egg, onion rings, pickled mango, spiced yoghurt, mint dukkah) – $21.0
This dish was amazing. By cutting a piece of each of the elements of the dish and eating them together, was simply pure perfection for my palette. The tender, smokey shreds of lamb, the crunchy fried onion ring, the sweetness of the mango, topped with the acidity of the spiced yoghurt and fresh beads of mint dukkah… was one of the best combo of flavours and textures I’ve ever tasted.
Dinner: CHIN CHIN
Twice Cooked Beef Short Rib (Shaved Coconut Salad and Prik Nahm Pla) – $29.5
Powerful Asian flavours complemented by beef that was cooked so perfectly that it fell right off the bone.
Pistachio Gelato – $4.5
The hardest decision I had to make deciding the best dessert, BUT I DID IT (round of applause). I couldn’t go past my personal favourite PISTACHIO which gets me excited like no other dessert. The pistachio is super nutty and tasty, almost as if pistachio nuts were ground into powder and blended smoothly with the gelato. SLKJSDF;LKAJSDLFKJSD absolutely mouthwatering
